Empowering Socially Disadvantaged Farmers
The USDA鈥檚 Office of Partnership and Public Engagement (OPPE) visited Alabama A&M University and its Small Farms Research Center.
Michael Beatty, director of OPPE, visited AAMU to discuss and share ideas on how to better assist socially disadvantaged limited resource farmers.
Mr. Beatty met with Dr. Lloyd Walker, dean of AAMU鈥檚 College of Agricultural, Life and Natural Sciences; Dr. Allan Malone, 1890 Extension Administrator; and Anthony Hudson, 1890 Program Liaison, who arranged the meeting with the AAMU Small Farms Research Center (SFRC).
