AAMU to Host Annual Founder's Day

AAMU Founder鈥檚 Day Program Set for Friday
Alabama A&M University will holds its annual Founder鈥檚 Day Observance on Friday, May 6, at the T.M. Elmore Building at 4 p.m. The event honors the accomplishments and legacy of Dr. William Hooper Councill, the nearly 150-year-old institution鈥檚 first president.
The Honorable Linda Coleman-Madison, Alabama State Senator and AAMU alumnus, will be the guest speaker. Sen. Coleman-Madison previous served as a state representative, as well as an influential member of the Birmingham City Council.
The program will also pay tribute to Henrika Buchanan (right) as Alumna of the Year.
